When you arrive
|33IGC information booth at Gardermoen International Airport
After passing through customs and entering the public area of the terminal building, you will find a 33IGC information booth open on 5-6 August and 10-11 August. Go to the right when you exit the automatic doors after customs and proceed towards the train station, and you will see the booth. The staff will give you the information you need regarding travel to Oslo, hotels, registration, etc. However we do not provide Congress registration at the information booth.
Transport from Gardermoen airport
Oslo Airport Gardermoen is Oslo's main airport, situated approximately 50 km north of the city centre. Taxi fares from the airport to Oslo city centre will usually amount to more than €100. For more information about booking taxis see 'Transport within Oslo'.
The Airport bus (Flybussen)leaves Oslo Airport Gardermoen every 20 minutes for the 45 minute journey to the Bus Terminal, which is located next to Oslo Central Station. The airport bus stops at SAS Radisson Hotels. The current price is NOK 130.

The Airport Express train (Flytoget) takes 12 minutes to Lillestrøm and 20 minutes to Oslo Central Station. Trains depart every 10 minutes. The price is NOK 160 to Oslo Central Station or NOK 120 to Lillestrøm.

If you wish to stop at the venue and register it is situated half way between the airport and the city, at Lillestrøm. Please note that not all trains stop at Lillestrøm - check the information board at the platform. Also note that going from Lillestrøm to the city you cannot use the Airport Express Train, which is only allowed to let passengers disembark at Lillestrøm. Instead you will need to take one of the ordinary local trains, marked NSB.

Transport from Sandefjord Airport Torp/Moss Airport Rygge
If you arrive at the Torp or Rygge Airports, which are located south-west and south-east of the city respectively, you will find buses to Oslo city centre. The trip from Rygge takes approximately 1 hour, from Torp approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.

Transport within Oslo
Public transportation in Oslo is quite efficient. Buses, taxis and the metro are convenient and frequent. Please note that your 33IGC badge does not give you free travel on the Oslo public transport system.
The public transport provider is Oslo Sporveier (Tel: +47 815 54 411 ). A one-hour ticket costs NOK22 if bought in advance or NOK30 if bought on board; a 24-hour ticket costs NOK60. A one-day Oslo pass, which costs NOK220, is valid for most museums and sights and for all public transportation in Oslo and it surroundings. The pass can be purchased at tourists offices and hotels and is also available for 48 hours ( NOK320) and 72 hours (NOK410).

Taxis can be flagged down on the street or booked through Oslo Taxi (Tel: +47 22 38 80 90 ). From Monday to Friday, 6 am to 5 pm, the rate is NOK 15 per kilometer with a starting fee of NOK 32. Rates are higher during other periods.
Oslo city centre is relatively small, and most of it is within walking distance. There are small ferries from the harbour in front of the City Hall to the inner Oslofjord islands and to the Bygdøy peninsula where many museums are located.
